Crimson Baby is a new dwarf nectarine which produces full sized yellow, red blushed, speckled fruit with a wonderful flavour. Maturing in late November, Crimson Baby are self fertile and crop heavily. Trees require staking and are ideal for smaller gardens fitting into tubs and pots.

Feijoa — Feijoa

Acca Sellowiana ' Feijoa'

Sometimes called a pineapple guava. This hardy evergreen bushy shrub grows between 1-7m tall, produces edible fruit and makes an attractive specimen. Fruit ripens in Winter and is approximately the size and shape of a chicken's egg with smooth green skin. Flesh is pale, clear and jelly like being firm and coarse nearer the skin with a juicy/seeded pulp in the center. The fruit has a strong perfume and taste like a pineapple x strawberry. Fruit can be peeled or cut in half and scooped out with a spoon.

Rootstock — Zutano

Persea var.drymifolia

From the Mexican race of avocado. Is hardy and more tolerant to cold conditions than other stocks. Frost will damage flowers. Has green/yellow skin. Trees such as Zutano are more susceptible to anthracnose and insect attack having a thinner skin. Good cropper. Zutano produces large pear shaped fruit with fibrous light green flesh. Mild flavour and easy to peel. Here at the nursery we graft the Hass variety onto the Zutano rootstock.

Rootstock — Mazzard or sometimes known as F12

Released in 1969 the F12 /Mazzard is a very vigorous stock suited to many sweet and sour cherries. Grown under a wider range of conditions but does not cope well in extremely wet areas. Has moderate resistance to diseases such as bacterial canker.

Rootstock — Flying Dragon

A dwarfing citrus rootstock which is slow growing. It crops well producing top quality fruit with high sugar and acid levels. Flying Dragon is suitable to numerous soils especially fertile sandy loams. Trees are cold hardy, but not tolerant of frost damage. Resistant to nematodes and root fungi.
