Growers Ordering Process

Commercial grower
How do I place an order?

Please contact the Nursery to discuss your requirements on 08 9772 1207 or email us at sales@oleanurseries.com.au An order form will be sent to you. Please advise on variety, rootstock, year to be delivered and type i.e 2 year old, springbud.

When do I need to place an order for a 2 year old tree?

These trees are budded in February/ March and dispatched the following year. For example a Granny Smith apple would be budded in March 2011 and delivered in July 2012. Rootstocks are also considered critical along with your choice of variety so please order rootstocks as soon as possible, even up to twelve months prior to budding.

When do I need to place an order for a Springbud tree?

Orders need to be placed by October. The trees are spring budded in December of the same year and delivered to the Grower the following Winter. For example a nectarine is budded December 2011 and dispatched in July 2012. Rootstocks are also considered critical along with your choice of variety so please order rootstocks as soon as possible - even up to twelve months prior to budding.

When do I need to place an order for a One Year Old Grafted tree?

These trees, usually apples and pears, are grafted in August and dispatched the following year. It is essential that budwood is collected in May/June for grafting in August. Therefore orders need to be placed as early as March/April prior to the year of dispatch.

When will I receive confirmation of my order?

A Confirmation of Your Order will usually be sent to the Grower in April. This occurs after the trees have been budded and counted and allocated to orders. Please return deposit requested and any necessary paperwork. Please check thoroughly and advise if any changes are necessary.

When will the trees be delivered?

Bare rooted trees are delivered to Growers during July and possibly August. It is quite common for growers to take holidays during these times. Please notify the Nursery in advance so that we can make alternative arrangements for delivery.

How will the trees be delivered?

Olea Nurseries Pty Ltd endeavours to deliver the majority of trees using our own truck and experienced personnel. Where this is not possible trees are suitably packaged and reputable freighting companies are used who understand the needs of handling bare rooted trees. We have also used rail from WA into areas such as Melbourne for growers who have considerably large orders.
